Andrzej Hop (violin) – having graduated the music school of 2 nd degree under Prof. Zenon Brzewski, had he already won a prize at International Young Violinist Competition in Lublin and 1 st prize in all-Polish Competition in Lublin. In 1989 he received the Interlochen Arts Festivals scholarship (USA). In 1986 he started to study at Academy of Music in Poznan under Prof. Jadwiga Kaliszewska. He continued his studies in Boston under Prof. Roman Totenberg. He took part in the chamber music course Kneisel Hall Festival, performed in the following ensembles: New York String Orchestra under A. Schneider, conducted by L. Maazel, M. Roztropowicz and K. Eschenbach and in the Schleswig-Holstein Festival orchestra. He performed with the broad orchestra and chamber repertoire in, among others, Germany, Spain and Italy. Since 1992 he plays in Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio conducted by Agnieszka Duczmal featuring solo performances. In 1996 he received a prize at Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition.
